Just thinking about it, but does anyone have a single H Bongo 5 that you might want to trade for a Blue Pearl Bongo 5 HS?

The autographs on my red Bongo were beginning to show signs of wear so finally, after nearly a year, I went for the acrylic spray and let's just say the initial results were not so good. A bit sticky. I probably used too much at once although I tried to go easy on it....ah well.

So I have the blue Bongo that I never play because I'm addicted to the red H model. But I may have to retire the red one.

Maybe the best thing to consider is trading the blue one for a different 5H?

Anyway, it's just thinking out loud and I'm not sure there are too many 5Hs out there in any case.

Thoughts?

Bovine, I'm not sure if you are interested in purchasing new but The Perfect Bass had a CAR Bongo five listed recently. Actually thought about getting it for myself but haven't been able to pull the trigger.

Sounds like Rex has the solution to my situation. Is that Tom Maddog's ex-Bongo? That would be cool that it ends up with me. I don't even mind the chip - I probably have a sticker or something for it.

Let's do it, T-Rex!

I got it from Andrew. I'm not sure how he came about getting it.

Shoot me a PM or give me a call and we'll work out the logistics.

Geez, this is like riccocheting bullets in a metal-lined room.

I was THIS close to buying that blue 5H.

And I've been the conduit for the SmallEQ Bongo.

At this rate we'll all wind up owning each other's Bongos at some point!

That is, unless that Open House Mahogany Bongo comes my way...in which case I'll bury it so deep in the New England hills that nobody will ever find it!

I whacked it with my Dargie Bongo when I was swapping basses off the stand. At least I only chipped one of them. Still made me kind of sick to my stomach, though.

Ah, bunch of girls, it's just a chip. I have stickers, you know.

Rex, the 5 HS has been checked and appears to be in great shape. Give me a day or two to replace the straplocks with standard buttons and get it packed up and it's off to you. Got a regular old Bongo case for it. (It does say "Bongo 5" in sharpie on it. I find it hard to keep track of cases otherwise.)

I wish I had a pack of Slinkys, but all I have is four string sets. Can I have my Acmes back soon? (I remain broke.)
