I'm in dire needs of replacing some single coils in my "S" word guitar... what's going to give me that vintage tone... here's the spec's on that guitar... it's an ASH body with a Birdseye Maple Neck and Maple fretboard

Bill Lawrence L200s (more vintage) or L280s (more even). Noise-free, killer pickups that are $40 a piece. (He makes the SCN pickups and winding equipment for that F-word company ... the 200s are similar in tone.)

Seymour Duncan Antiquity Surfers or for noise-free, SD Classic Stack Plus

Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots sound really nice, but in an ash body they might be a tad too "vintagey", i.e. thin.
