I'm starting to think we have very similar tastes. I have a candy red bongo and plan on getting a medallion gold bongo sometime soon. Those Rosewood Axis' are freak'n sweet.

I am also very drawn to Bergantino cabs, but alas I think I will be going Epifani.

You can't go wrong with either of those cabs.

Yeah, I spent some time with a UL210 yesterday, super sweet tone at all volumes and the weight, you can lift it with one hand. I also spent some time with the Berg IP112, thats an amazing little box, just unbelievable for the size.

Is the UL210 epi or berg? What's the low down on the 12 sound wise? Heavy weight-wise?

Still considering a new amp (or rig) and my LMS has some berg in stock. Maybe it is time to get back down there to try some stuff out.

We(bassists of today) are so lucky to have such great gear choices. I have been nothing but pleased with my Bergantino cabs and look forward to trying the new IPseries cabs. Those Epi cabs sure sound great though. It's amazing how powerful and nice these higher end cabs sound AND without having to break your back.

The UL210 is an Epi, only weighs 38 pounds. The IP112 weighs about 50 pounds, but it is really compact, the cab is height and width is about as small as it could get. so while its heavy for a 12inch speaker, it is really easy to carry. The sound is just like people say, pretty much perfectly flat/neutural. And not only is it loud and great sounding, its also sounds better than anything I have ever heard at low volumes. You don't have to crank it at all to get a great sound. I mainly played a couple of laklands through it without a real preamp to fully drive the IP.

Very interesting. I'm looking at Berg's website right now. Just a brief description, no details. What amp were you using?

The good sound at low volumes speak well for the design (atleast that's what I've learned from my audiophile days).

Is this why you are gettin' rid of the rocketbass?

It has its own 500 watt (@8ohm and 1000 watts at 4ohm when paired with the 112 extension cab) digital amp built in that uses a DSP to make it sound so sweet. Thats why the thing weighs 50 pounds but is so small.

This is getting more intriguing. Sticker Price?
