After near 2 months with the Bongo, i've come to the conclusion that I am not a Bongo guy. It's a great sounding bass but it's just not a StingRay 5. It's about to find a happy home in Texas (not casa de bovine).

Now what's next? HSC or fretless SR5? :cool:

I'm going fretless on my TB Ray; possible HH for that one, as well. :cool:
 
Well the good thing is that EBMM makes an excellent line of basses, they are not a one trick pony kind of company.

After owning an SR4&5, Sterling and Bongos, I found that I'm more of a Sterling guy, with a serious love for the Bongo too. The StingRay just wasn't for me... but that could change cause I'm sort of missing looking at them.

I want an H/S Sterling to go with my Sterling collection, lefty of course. I love the single coil in "Jewel", that is one good sounding pickup baby!

So get what you like the best, BP and the boys make some mighty fine instruments.

The best thing about EBMM is that there is something that fits each one of our tastes. I love the looks of SR's but they are very uncomfortable for me. The Sterling is a bit small (but I do luv 'em) and the Bongo is just right. To each, their own - as long as it's a Ball! (why do I feel like I should be footnoting pages from Goldilocks and the Three Bears????)
 
I know... forgot about that until after I posted... maybe something new for our fav bass manufacture to consider for NAMM!?!?!?!?!?! That would be killer (I would love a HSP Sterling)

I am soooooo hoping for an HSp Sterling...

If not Summer NAMM '06 perhaps new for 2007.

I love the Bongo tone, but the Sterling feels perfect in my hands (and sounds pretty good in it's own right!). Hoping that an HSp Sterling completes/combines the experience for me! :D
 
I too, am a Sterling guy who has also come to love the Bongo. I decided the Stingray just wasn't for me and traded mine for a Sterling. Yet, two years later, I went and bought another Ray. Of course, I sold it and now have only Sterlings an SR5 and a Bongo, but I know that it's entirely likely that I'll own another Ray somewhere down the road.
