I'm torn...

I know i've gone on and on about this. The bass i'm getting for graduation is selected in all aspects but one. Maple or rosewood? I've decided to go with Carbon Blue Pearl with an Abalone pg with matching headstock but I just can't decide. I'm generally a maple guy but i'm not sure. Help?

Based on the SR5 today, and how you flipped over it, Id say snag a rosewood.

Bongoes only have rosewood. That should narrow it down.

I've been a die hard maple guy since day 1 but I think this just might crack me guys. I don't think my current bass would look half as good with a rosewood board. Although, given the color scheme and everything, I think i'm going to go rosewood.

Andrew. You flat out FLIPPED over the rosewood HH SR5 yesterday.

CBP with a matching headstock begs for rosewood. Theres no rule that all your basses have to have the same fretboard. Its an EBMM, its going to sound good.

Worst case, you dont like the rosewood. I do, sell it to me and buy a maple.

Matching headstocks look best to me with rosewood unless it's a really light color to begin with.

I think that color looks best with rosewood, especially with a matching headstock. If it did not have a matching headstock, maple.

I think I will be going with rosewood. Like you said, if it wasn't a matching headstock, i'd go maple. Thanks for the input guys. I now know what I want.

Now I have to wait 6 months to get it....
