From the main site:

"Ernie Ball is moving into our new manufacturing facility. ernieball.com will be down for a short period on Saturday, January 28th and Sunday, January 29th with intermittent service throughout the weekend.
We apologize for the inconvenience."

This may also affect us here, so be prepared to deal with all that stuff in real life.

Oh and I should mention, since we are unplugging the whole server and driving it to the new location, it WILL affect you here, since here will theoretically not exist until the server is plugged back in.

Are you trying to say that there's no "there" there?

Rhetorical question: If you put your letter in a UPS Red envelope, then FedEx it, does it get there before you send it?

:D

So you locate the servers in the manufacturing plant? I would imagine there is a seperate server for the web, and then others for the in building operations. Interesting. Much like where I work. Well I can't say that I'll notice this place being down to much, I'll be spending my weekend taking apart my car.

Prepare for "Reality Based Cyber Experience".

Since you will be in Suspended Animation during the truck ride, there is nothing to fear. Hackers can't get to you on the truck.

When you get plugged back in, you'll need time to adjust to the local electron supply in the new location. You might want to bring some bottled electrons with you, to relieve the embarassment and discomfort that is sometimes experienced during the adjustment period.

Yeah, and the biggest pain in the rear is getting all of your magazine subscriptions updated to the new address....

I think I'll be okay. Security is a thumb and a Bongo, afterall.

What if something goes horribly wrong? What if, when they plug us back in, we're all playing Rics?

There is no spoon.

We have some nice spots to wedge our servers here. No more shoeboxes, cinder blocks and 2x4s.

I think the only real item that will be a problem is the Flux Capacitor. I mean, it IS what makes time travel possible.

Maybe you're not ready for this yet, but your kids are gonna love it.
