I wasn't falling in love with my new silo special. I really liked it, but I wasn't bonding with it like I hoped I would, given that I spent what I did buying it new. There just wasn't that certain 'magic' happening. I had decided to return it and try something else ( an ebmm of course).
I saw an ad on Craigslist for an AL HH and recognized the number. So I called the guy and we agreed to swap-his AL was 3 months old and he wanted some single coils sounds...worked for both of us!
I absolutely LOVE this guitar and it just might be my new number one. Plays killer, sounds beautiful and I could just sit and look at it all day, if I could get myself to put it down. This rosewood neck is the first neck that I've played that I feel is on par with my Axis SS. I couldn't be happier. image.jpgimage.jpg

Congrats. Major score for you. I played an AL all rosewood 6 weeks ago. I shoulda snagged it while I had the chance. Big regret on my part. Enjoy !

congrats!!! I was actually playing mine this morning... fantastic guitar for sure!!!!

enjoy

Nice! honestly, if I had to get anything that wasn't a silhouette Special, either the AL HH or the LIII HH would be top of the list. Great swap, well done!

Those AL HHs are magic. From the moment I strapped mine on after getting it from Sweetwater a couple months ago, I've barely even TOUCHED another guitar (and I have 3 other EBMMs, including the new Majesty). There's just something so magical and musical and familiar about the feel, the look, and the sound.

Awesome score!
