The input jack on my SUB-1 guitar doesn't seem too secure, I've tried to tighten it up, but there doesn't seem to be much that can be tightened. Any ideas? The patchcord hasn't fallen out yet, but it feels like it's gonna happen anytime. Would love some help on this.

It feels loose as in the jack goes in and out too easy?

Take the jack out, and bend the long contact just a little bit until you get the desired tension.

yeah i tried that, and it didn't seem to do anything. funny thing is it's only with certain patch cables, but doesn't happen with my other guitars. any thoughts?

Yup. It's just a matter of the import 1/4" plugs don't actually measure 1/4"

I use Neutrik, Planet Waves, and G&H pulgs to avoid such issues.

I have one guitar made in Korea, a Yamaha RGX-A2, but there's also an American made Tele, an early 80's MIJ Strat, and a 1960 Gibson Es-175. And this isn't a cheap cable either, it's a George L, that I got from a friend. Maybe this cable just wasn't meant to be used with my EBMM

Hmm.....I'm more inclined to think the jack needs to be tensioned more.
I used a George L in the luke with no issues.

i thought subs had switchcraft jacks ??????
they work GREAT til they get bent somehow.......
get a new one & put it in. they are not expensive. make sure the jack has clearance to operate freely. if a wire is in the wrong position....u can bend the jack out of it's proper operating shape. once they are bent...it's a guessing game to bend it back.......& usually gets wacked.

I'd like to know this also, or at least what is a suitable replacement jack for the MM SUB. I have the same problem that the jack seems to have gotten bent.

I tend to use whatever jacks I have handy (I've got a bag full o' switchcraft jacks). But if you're concerned, why not call MM customer service and order one from them?
