Intonation problem - Jongitarz help.

My EB Steve Morse need to be fine tuned. The weather changed drastically here and the action was on limit, so started to buzz.

Now the neck is OK, action is OK too after trussrod ajustments.

But.........

the things start here:

The intonation was crappy after trussrod was used.

I got all strings intonated perfect, but the G string doesn't have more saddle space to move foward to the bridge side.

By the way, the harmonic at G string is OK, but the fretted note is sharp about 10%.

What I need to do now ?

try another g string......sometimes the string can be defective.......
more frequently it happens w/ wound strings though........

I agree with Tommy....Ther should be plenty of travel on the bridge to intonate the guitar...Try a new string, and when you put the new string on, push down on the string right in front of the bridge to make sure the break angle is ok.

Jon, new strings changed to .09 and stretched all the way, the angle is ok too.

But will try change only G.

Have been notice this since I got the guitar, and even with original strings on it.

I assume that you have the tunamatic bridge. Try flipping the bridge saddle around. Also there may be an issue with the G string being too high. You could file the saddle down.

Also check the height of the Single Coil pickup, cause sometimes if it´s that the string is too close the magnets it causes false overtones and things

I fixed it this night.

Take off the neck to wax the fretboard (I did it on all my guitars) and did proper trussrod ajustment. That's was the problem.

Now there's a lot of headroom to squeeeeze.

But can't get rid off a little buz......

Will do some minor ajustments.

Ohh S****, I prefer to adjust 100 floyds instead these tunamatic or what bridge, hehehehe
