Hi, I'm new here,
Just want to know is that BFR inlay disappear on the new 2013 guitar?
like JPX, JPXI...etc
thx

Yes. They've done away with bfr inlay and have instead gone with a neck plate at the joint with the bfr insignia there.

Me too, looks like I will have to buy a used on then to get the Prestigious label!!

I must admit in the begining I didn't like it, now I'm used to it and actually love it.

Good thing about the 12th fret inlay is that your guitar is immediatly recognisable, there is a huge 'wow factor' in it. My band mate said when he first saw the 25th 'wow you got your self a BFR !!!!'

There was a thread a while back about this and it seemed as if most people liked it.

There are people who never considered a BFR because of the inlay who will now start to look at them with the intention of purchase. I also wonder if it saves $$ not having to have an entire different run of fingerboards from the exact same wood sources just to put an inlay at the 12th fret for one batch.

Whatever the reasons, I'm sure they are well founded. Some people prefer the clean look on the fretboard combined with the subtle nature of monikering a BFR on the neck plate. YMMV. :)

I like the inlay because it seem big different between JP6/7 and BFR model,
I would take more $$ for 12th inlay with my future EBMM guitar too...
