Question is this a birds-eye maple or flamed maple neck on my JP7? or both?

Hi,

I got this new JP7, and the neck looks interesting in terms of figuration. The upper half (the side of the high strings) has birds eyes, but the other half (side of the bass strings) does not seem to have any birds eyes and looks more like a flamed maple to me.

Is this a birds-eye maple or a flamed maple neck? or is there such a thing as both combined?
What are the differences in terms of sound characteristics or stability if there are any?

I'd call that "bird's eye" or "beautifully figured" or even just "NICE!!".

No differences in sound or stability compared to vanilla maple.

I was just wondering if there is such thing as birds-eye and flamed maple on the same piece of wood.
I had not seen this kind of figured maple where part looks like bird-eye and part looks like flamed before, but I like it a lot!

Yeah it definitely looks amazing. As for tone difference I don't see how it would make any significant tone difference.
