TupperWare party. Razman, that's funny. :D

I would say that it is "rare" in the aspect that EBMM does not do trans purple any more, but it's not one of those ultra rare colors, such as the infamous burnt apple sparkle LOL! (why do I keep playing with fire? Jon's gonna cut off my fingers for continuing the trend! :p)

You know, I've looked all around my house, and despite finding many EBMM guitars, I can only find ONE that's in Burnt Apple! Just one!! Which leads me to the obvious conclusion that Burnt Apple is a very rare color indeed! because I have only ONE of them!!

As for the trans-purple Axis - I've yet to see one in person that really knocks my socks off... It seems to me the trans-purple finish doesn't really show off the grain in the maple as well as some other colors...

...you do realize that Jon is going to kill us for carrying on like we are about this, right ?

Just want you to know this, so that the sudden death isn't such a surprise. LOL! :)

Does the Glock also come in a Sparkly Burnt Apple Finish? :D
Rumor has it they discontinued that finish...the metal flakes kept getting embedded in the plastic from the high pressure of the spray gun! :p

I purchased a mint trans purple Axis off of ebay. I see them enough on ebay that I would not say they are rare. I think the seller is capitalizing on the fact that they don't make this color anymore. It also probably looks better in the pics than in person (you notice the guitar is sitting in the bright sunlight). The later model trans purples (like mine) are so dark that you can't see the woodgrain through the paint.

(Nor my longtime chrome-plated guardian, the classic Smith & Wesson Model 66... ;) )

My dad had a Ruger .22 rifle that was great for squirrel hunting...however, it had a nasty habit of dumping the hot spent shells directly downwards, and more often than not directly into my jacket sleeve......great gun otherwise, but I dunno how that one slipped by the engineers!

My opinion of Ruger has unfortunately been tainted ever so slightly since....

Lol, being new, I've kinda missed the joke. I get the impression that this particular finish is a touchy subject though...

LTL, there was this cat that posted his ebay ad like 457 times for his Axis Super Sport (commonly referred to as an ASS, for short), and kept building it up as being this super immensely rare color.

Jon had a few rounds with him, and so on...it's a sore spot that took a lot of therapy and current consistent medication to get him back on the right track. Now, every time it comes up, some folks tend to go off on that to ruffle his feathers (rather, since he's the gardener, I guess it would be to ruffle his leaves. :D)

In sadder relations, when I deleted his 457th post, he tried to label me as a fascist for doing my job and trying to keep content under control on this board. I had to put him and his ASS in place (BOTH of them).

There you go...the backstory, in a nutshell.

BTW, Jon...Glock 17. Fine piece of machinery, but another discussion for another board. :)

Thanks. The story gave me a good laugh, this guy sounds a bit like valvulator or guitarwizard off jemsite, both are banned now I think. Still, it is funny to look back on some of their posts and laugh at their stupidity. Knowing my luck, they probably post here under a different name and I am about to get flamed lol.
