Is this the best deal on an SR5?

Hello, everyone im new here. My name is Brian.

Anyway I am looking to purchase a new StingRay 5 (Maple fretboard, Honeyburst finish, and 3 EQ).

In Guitar Center they are selling it (with a hard case) for a fairly decent price.

Is there a better price one could get for the same one? If you find it cheaper online, please let me know. Post a link.

I appreciate all the help, and thank you in advance.

-Brian

Could you please edit the price out of your post?

Please check out the FAQ at your earliest convienence. Item 12 in particular.

Welcome, Brian,

Are you set on buying new? If you're not, you can find good prices on used EB basses pretty easily online.

If you are, and cost is a major factor for you, I say (with apologies to the dealers here and to the people who don't like GC) go for the one at GC.

In any case, stick around and you'll get a lot of other useful information (minus direct prices) and ideas, such as, Have you considered the Bongo?

Good luck,

(with apologies to the dealers here and to the people who don't like GC)

No need to apologize to me...I've got more basses on order than I can handle...almost.

Pretty soon I'll need to get a warehouse....I just did a count of all the basses rolling through a two car garage in the desert this month and counted 86....

I certainly am not about to play the price shopper game....

Well to answer a previous question...yes im trying to buy it new...for some reason im not that big of a fan of the bongos.

Im going to check those sites now maddog

I think the best deal on a Sting Ray is to buy one. Sure renting may look cheaper now but in the long run it is more expensive.

And leasing also appears to be a great deal, but then there's that balloon payment at the end, and balloons aren't worth much, so it takes a LOT of balloons to be worth diddley-squat, really.
