I just got home from my local GC with good news. I had stopped by to check price and availability of the new Roland GR-20 which will work with a bass. Adam said he hadn't heard anything new about my Bongo, but he'd go ahead and call EB to see what the wait time looked like.

As I was checking out Levy's leather straps trying to decide what to get for the Bongo, Adam waved me over with a wide-eyed look on his face. I scrambled over to him, and he told me that not only was it done, but it had shipped last Thursday! He was waiting for the tracking number so we could go and see where it was.

We went into the office and typed in the tracking number--it was scanned in at the airport this afternoon at 1:17pm with a scheduled delivery date of 7/29/04!!!

So, needless to say, I'll be stopping by GC on the way home from work tomorrow, too. Luckily, it's only 3 miles from where I work.

As a sign of cosmic serendipity, I got home to find a new 5 string set of Infeld Superalloy strings for the fretless Bongo waiting on the table.

Yep, it's the fretless.

I ordered it at the end of March, so it's right around 4 months--not too bad.

I'll definitely get some pics up tonight, and perhaps even a sound clip, or two.
