I recently saw an interview with Joe in which he talked quite openly about his life. He came across as a really genuine nice guy who loves playing the guitar now as much as ever. And he has an excellent taste in guitars of course! Hopefully we will get to see some footage of him playing an Armada sometime soon.
 
Joe is awesome and that is a great pic, I have been a JW fan since I was 12 years old(i.e> that is a long azz time, 40+years)
 
I knew that the Armada was going to quickly present itself in the arms of a "famous" player, and I kinda thought it may be one of those troops. They "KNOW" quality!!!
 
Just wanted to add that in their great doc HISTORY OF THE EAGLES, the guy who replaced Don Felder also plays MM. A white double neck and a silo or silo spec (not sure).
Also Glen Frye's nasally impression of Joe Walsh is hysterically funny
 
I thought it was interesting to rewatch the Hell Freezes Over DVD after having seen the History Of The Eagles movie. They talked about how Joe was "a little dark" until about halfway through the HFO tour. In the interviews, he is kind of lethargic, and recent interviews he is very chipper and energetic. I think it shows how close we really came to losing Joe in the early 90s. Thank God for more reasons than just the great music The Eagles got back together. I don't think I've ever seen anyone have a bad thing to say about the quality of human being Joe Walsh is.

kbaim... that guitar player is Stuart Smith. He had been on the Don Henley tours so he was a no brainer. He is a session genius delux to say the least, and he's a big fan of MM guitars. I very much so miss Don Felder as he is one of my favorite all time players, but so is Joe, and Stewart really fits the bill.
 
Not a huge Eagles fan (other than Hotel California), but have heard Joe interviewed on Howard Stern once or twice and was an absolutely COOL guy (unlike some of his band mates). And a great player. Hearing him play a few things off the cuff, just his guitar, was magical.
 
I played two Armadas over the past 2 weeks...Black and Gold and a Black Quilt on Black.....

IMO they kill LP and PRS SC. I owned a Tremonti 10 Top for a while and while I loved it there were some intonation issues that bugged me. Big tone but little comprimises I couldnt deal with.

While every guitar is not the same and my Tremonti is not the bench mark for PRS, I have to say the Armada was a great experience. Complete access to the 22nd fret, bigger tone, intonation was spot on, neck felt great....I could go on and on.

I was looking at getting another JP this month but I may be persuaded to get an Armada........Great job Dudley, Scott and Big Poppa....
