Hey Jongitarz Or Forum,
I wanted to ask a professional before I attempted to do it myself. I got a JP 6 about a month ago and it played like a dream. Lately though I have noticed the action is starting to creep up on it. I am assuming it was in factory specs when I got it but now its about 1/4" .It still has the same stings from the factory on it and I haven't adjusted anything. I did eyeball the neck and it has a bit of bow to it not too bad though. Do you think I need to adjust the trussrod already? Any info would be appreciated.

I'm no expert on the subject (being Ball-less) but you could try tightening the truss rod by increments of a quarter-turn until the action seems right. This method seems to have worked for other members of the forum.

To be safe, disregard the above and wait until Jon or someone who knows what they're doing can post.
 
Check your relief using the method outlined in the FAQ. I suspect you need a truss rod adjustment. Because they are unfinished, MM necks are more susceptible to weather and humidity changes. Thankfully the truss rod adjustment is located in a convenient location allowing quick on-the-fly adjustments.
 
My JP has me so spoiled that I get FURIOUS when I have to take off a truss rod cover on other guitars. :D

That might be the single most important invention for the electric guitar since the fuzz box. :) Now I just wish everyone would copy it (surprised it hasn't happened more).

No need for everyone to copy it, just sell all your other guitars and replace them with EBMM ones. :D
 
It sounds like you need to tighten the truss rod a bit. Do it a little bit at a time, check the action, and play every note after you adjust.
