JP Piezo Controls Q - Stereo vs. Mono cables

Hey all,

Anyone know if the MIX knob on the back of the input jack functions ONLY if you have a mono cable plugged in (either to one jack or 2 cables in both), and that it does NOT function when you are using a stereo cable (mix seems to be turned all the way up automatically and the knob has no function).

I'm trying to figure out if this is normal. Thanks! The bass and treble knobs DO function either way.

When only the piezo/mono jack is connected, the mix pot controls the maximum level of the piezo signal.
When the magnetic/stereo jack is connected, the mix pot is disabled.

Welcome to the forum!

cool thanks.

and this leads me to ask... how does anyone have their piezo tone controls set up?

there is a center notch on the controls, and i turn my bass about a 1/4 turn up from that, and my treble just less than the bass...

anyone else?
