So when running my amp using either output on the guitar straight to my amp, I get almost no noise, just normal amounts. However, with my bedroom setup, the piezo sounds best running into the v-amp with just a dash of verb and out through my PC speakers, rather than my Rectifier. However, when I have two leads plugged into the JP, I get alot more noise through my Recto than with just one lead.

I have put this down to the fact the v-amp is connected to my PC, thus causing the noise, but haven't had the chance to try my setup elsewhere yet.

Anyone else encounter this?

Sounds like a ground loop. With two amps connected at the same time your signal has two paths to ground, causing the hum.

This was a thread a couple of days ago too. The answer to this problem was to use a Direct Input (DI) box. Boss, Berhinger, and NADY all make this product and I am sure others do as well. The important feature you need is a ground lift. Right now the NADY DB-1 DIRECT BOX is on sale at Musicians Friend. I ordered one and it is back ordered. I am anxious to try it and I look forward to posting my results.

Aha. Good stuff, thankyou. I do have a Behringer DI box, but I just wasn't using it.

Thanks alot.
Are you using it now? Did it work good? Were you glad you tried it? How long do you boil noodles?
