HI first post. I was planning on a ibanez j custom but it looks like that deal might fall through. So, I'll probably get a jp or jem. Does Guitar Center sell musicman guitars? I have a discount there so that would be helpful. If they don't, what stores do? I'd really like to compare the guitars back to back. Last of all, are there any color shifting colors besides mystic dream?

GC does sell EB/MM and the only shifting color is Mystic Dream. Welcome to the forum.

Make sure you try and inspect before buying from a remote GC. I drove two hours to the GC in Concord, CA to check out a JP6 in redburst and was appalled by the condition of the guitar. I have guitars hanging in my studio which are ten years old but are in better condition than the JP6 they had. Grimy dinged-up neck, big-time pick swirls all over the neck pup, and overall in nasty condition.
