JP16 Trem Cavity Issue.

I recently acquired a JP16-6 second hand and upon arrival I noticed 2 pretty significant chips in the paint at the rear of the trem cavity where it looks like they didnt route the cavity enough to allow the tremelo's fine tuners to clear the body. I'm assuming the original owner yanked back on the bar and smashed the fine tuners into the body or he removed all the strings and let the trem sink into the body. Is this just something that was overlooked during the design stage?...does anyone else have this issue?

It's a tremolo, not a handle. There really isn't any type of design that can be made which prevents someone from pulling back on the tremolo enough to damage the finish, especially one like a Floyd rose that has lots of extra stuff hanging off the back.

I have the exact same issue. If the fine tuners are unscrewed too much, they nick the edge of the trem cavity when pulling up on the bar. I find it to be just a minor inconvenience, but I could see how a previous owner could have easily pulled up on the bar and harmed the finish.
