Hey, So I have a JP6 that is 2 years old (Made in 2012) and a JPX7 that was made in 2013

When plugged into the Stereo Jack on either I sometimes get a crackling from the jack. It sounds to me like the tip isnt making good contact, I've tried it with other cables and the problem is still happening. Being that they both have the preamp/mixer jack setup I dont want to open them and look for myself.

Has anyone had these issues before? If EB CS could chime in, am I going to have to ship these both back for repairs or is there any way to have it done locally?

I had that problem when bloody monster cable crapped out inside the input. Had to get new input socket but I've done it all myself.
If you're keen on soldering it shouldn't be a hard task if one of them still on warranty then try CS but replacing whole piezo module is quite expensive.

I notice it alot less with my JPX and that might just be due to a ****ty cable.

I was just looking at my JP6 though, comparing the Stereo Jack (Where the issue resides) to the mono jack (issue free) The Stereo inputs hold is very loose on the cable and there is quite a bit of play which I think is causing it to cut in and out. It hasnt really bothered me because I dont ever run it stereo. I think what it will come down to is replacing the Stereo input jack.

I'm going to give CS a shout on monday and see if I can get a new part sent out.
