Help! Jp6 neck

i just wanted to know if the neck on my jp6 has to be completely straight to function properly

when you say "straight" , do you mean bow?

I prefer a perfectly straight neck, and that's the way I set up ALL my guitars!!!

However, neck "relief" is quite common and acceptable in most circles of discussion.
