Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they noticed a huge tonal and playability difference between the JP6's with the rosewood fretboard/unpainted neck and the jp6's with the ebony fretboard/ painted neck. I know that each guitar off the line is going to sound slightly different from the next, but I just wanted to gather some opinions from people who have played both models and tell me if they noticed a huge difference. I recently played a mystic dream jp6 and really enjoyed it in all aspects but I feel the stealth finish suites me better.

thank you

The stealths aren't painted like the BFR's, they still have a wood grain finish, not the wax/oil blend like a standard JP6/JP7, but not glossy like BFR's. I loved my JP7 stealth and miss it the most. I prefer the standard JP's over the BFR's because I like the wood grain feel. The stealth still did that for me. The tone of the stealth was amazing. It had ebony fretboard. From my experience, the stealth had more of a bite and sustain was longer, however, I've had a JP7, and comparing that to a JP6 isn't fair.

I appreciate the response. I think I am going to go ahead and grab a stealth, thank you strangenote and Joe
