just bought a sub 4

Just ordered a sub 4 in burgundy, used, off the UK bay for £350 plus shipping

I'm pretty excited for when it gets here! I thought it was a pretty good deal too considering there was another used one going for £435, a new one at £500 and two other new ones at £650. The original plan was to buy from the states but the customs would have amounted to the same cost as this was anyways.

My first EBMM, and hopefully not my last!

I'll try and dig this thread up and add some photos when i get it, although it's for christmas so that might be a while.

Also do SR pickguards fit subs and if so what colour do you reckon could go well with burgundy?

yes,the SR plates fit your bass ok. if it were my bass I'd have black pearloid
on it. and congrats on getting the SUB - great basses!

haha i know, i can't wait to get it here so i can try it out (i already tried one before but it was a while ago), but after that i have to put it away for a month that will be agony...

They are nice basses though, i'm more of a fan of natural basses or stained maple tops but damn the subs are nice.

It sounds GREAT and plays really, really good. I've been through three Stingrays in the past, but this SUB is staying put.

woop! it's finally here! Had a quick play on it and i have to say, it's one of the nicest basses i've tried, lovely sound to it, nice bite but very versatile, looks really nice, and for a 2 and a half year old bass it looks brand new! (and the guy left some lemon oil and a pack of strings in the front pocket of the gig bag) I have to say though, i wasn't entirely convinced about the burgundy colour, but looking at it in person it's really nice in the right light, and it's a lot more interesting than black!

haha thanks, like i said, when it catches the light in the right way it really does look pretty, almost metallic.
