Help! L3 hss cut out

HI everyone,

i have a L3hss guitar and totally love the guitar, the only issue i am having at the moment is when im playing a gig, the guitar sometimes cuts out completely even with a brand new battery.

To correct the problem i have to disconnect the battery then reconnect to carry on playing, as you can imagine its very frustrating especially half way through a song.

Im just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so is there a solution to the issue.
any feedback will very much appreciated.

I haven't heard this one before. I definitely suggest you call or email the MM customer service folks tomorrow.

Thanks beej, that was on the to do list anyway, i was just wondering if was a common issue and seeing if anyone else has had the experience...cheers
 
hi mick, battery contact is fine, the cut out happens once in a while but always when on a gig and not rehearsal. typical. i think im going to get the battery unit replaced anyway just for peace of mind. thanks... phil.
 
Had this problem on a Luke and it was in fact not connecting good enough in the battery compartment. Just stuffed a piece of cloth at the base of the battery to push it in tighter and get solid contact. Problem was solved.
 
Try a different brand. Some brands 9volts are a bit bigger than others.
 
Try blasting some canned air into the jack of the guitar. Sometimes dirt can get in there.

Also, do you use the same cord when playing out and when rehearsing? The flush mount jacks can be picky about cords due to plug diameter , and that can cause the preamp to not turn on.
