It's not a balloon! It is a Zeppelin!

(already Pythoned it up)

Know what you mean. The Who, Led Zep, Yes, The Beatles, The Stones: got a lot of timeless tunes, but, man!, if you go back and watch some of the footage...

Check out the new DVD, it's fantastic, heaps better than The Song Remains

John Entwistle from The Who is still my Fav bass player of all time, The special edition of the kids are all right has some fotage where they have cut the rest of the band out and you can just hear John, it's the best. Pitty he didn't play a Ray, it would have sounded better

I'm a Floyd man, myself. Now if Waters (or Gilmore in the studio) would have had a Bongo... I shudder to think of the possibilities.

I finally added the new dvd on my Netflix queue. I was a huge fan too but was reluctant to see it because of the poor quality of TSRTS.

John Paul Jones = One of the baddest mofo's ever ( even if he did play f**der). He is one of my major influences as well.

tsrts was an awful movie. But I did not realize just how bad it was until much later as syllisybin (spelling?) had ahold of me the nite I saw it ;)

 :)  :D ;) ;) :p <<< yeah, I felt like that!

As we speak, I'm loading Gilmour's latest CD into my iTunes. Haven't even listened to it yet. It was great to see them together again at Live 8.

Psilocybin (or shrooms in your native tongue) ;)

Part of the reason I don't want to watch it again was that seeing it in my teens, in the 70's, at midnight shows, under similar influences as described above, made it an experience. Now it would only be a movie with some guy who's been dead for 25 years driving his tractor (said sarcastically of course).

It's a bit sad but - The Song can never actually Remain the Same ;)

Huge Zep fan back then...don't listen much anymore.

Speaking of which, was also a big Queen fan, and watched Paul Rogers with Queen last night on PBS.

Huge disappointment. Magic of that band ain't there anymore either. Vocals don't sound right w/o Freaky Freddie

Zeppelin is my all-time favorite band. I really enjoy The Song Remains the Same, but I agree that the DVD that came out a few years ago is much better. I think the Knebworth footage is worth the price of the DVD alone!

Zeppelin just doesn't have the "deepness" that Nickelback has.
