Anybody up for it?

I would volunteer my fine poetry skills but since I don't have an SR4 I can't speak from the heart.

Anybody?

Don't bury the old warhorse yet!:(

The Stingray is kinda like the J and P. It will always be there to lend it's unique voice to music.

Edit: Oops. I was equating ode to elegy.

No elegies need apply. :p

Actually limmericks are what is asked for but being the college graduate that I am, I learned that calling limmericks odes lends some sort of air of "sophistication" about them. :D

Classic sr4
Unmatched punch and unique tone
All a bassist needs

Haiku?

:D

We got two very fine entries here.

Let's get some more. I love reading these things.

How 'bout "Ode to my Sterling" or "Ode to SR5".

Come on Lisa. I know you got one brewing about that fine Sterling you picked up.

edit: I got one, here goes:

I am Travis' SR5
and if I were alive
I'd call him a whore (gear that is)
But it is nothing I abhor
as long as Travis is always mine.

Good Old StingRay 4
I would still own you if I wasn't a gear whore
You were my first serious bass
And I loved the smell of your hardshell case
But I sold you for another...
Your smaller MusicMan brother.

"I'm a gear whore
like none that came before
I'm a lefty and quite hefty
but I'm in love with my buttercream SR4..."

Ok, the Kalick's are going down fast here by the harbour, the sun is bright and I can barely see my screen, but I miss my EBMM machines...

too drunk to type, better go.... for another beer:D

There was a young man with a 'Ray
And Wow! he could certainly play
The Bass was neat, the sound was sweet,
What more can anyone say?

How I love my SR4
It gives me growl, it gives me roar
It gives me tone and so much more
My SR4 just wipes the floor

How I love my SR5
It gives me punch, it gives me drive
It makes my playing come alive
My SR5 I play with pride

How I love my Bongo bass
It makes a smile on my face
To play it live is no disgrace
It puts the others in their place

My sight reading is poor and my left hand technique sucks

I cannot slap like Flea nor can I pick like Chris

What I can do is sound good, my bucker tone is bliss

I owe it all to my Stingrays man these basses simply rock.
