Someone found me a new SR4 HH Buttercream with a maple board. The price is pretty stiff. But I can make a counter offer.

What to do?
 
Buy your wife flowers and make sure have them delivered by hand to the dinner table in the restaurant you take her to in order to set the scene before you explain what you are about to spend the mortgage repayment on .....
 
She demanded my blk/blk/maple SR4's head on a plate. It's on craigslist and Talkbass classifieds right now for $750 (SPAM :P)

Anyway. The deed is done. The dealer and I met in the middle on the price. I think I paid about $100 over what it would normally cost me had I been able to order on time back then. Oh well. If I died tomorrow the extra $100 wouldn't buy me a ticket out of hell. Also, as the Dood always says: They didn't make a lot of these things.

Bottom line: I finally snagged a maple board HH Buttercream :)

I remember having a wife. Then I took up electric bass ...... Life is better now, richer, deeeeeperr ..... Altho the house is a mess.
