I'm rather new to the world of the Musicman. I've just purchased a 2004 Radiance Red Musicman Stingray and was wondering if anyone knows how many of them were made?

Hello, and welcome.

I have no idea how many were made.

However, around here we have rules.

This bass that you claim to own, really doesnt exist here, unless you post pics. :D

There wouldnt have been a set amount made, it would have been however many they could make/sell during the time period that radiance red was offered. (sorry if you knew that already!)

Seems like the Radiance Red and Envy Green limited edition models were available for about 90 days or so.

Now let's see that bass or we won't show you the secret handshake.

Well, I might be talking out of my wazoo, but it seems to me that Radiance Red was a limited edition, maybe the first, then came Envy Green. I'd be surprised if you could still order Radiance Red because I know you can't order Envy Green.

Please keep in mind that I also believe the world is controlled by giant badgers who live underground.

Radiance Red is available, but Envy Green is not...Certified badgers can order anything they want (being the world leaders and all)

BTW Jack your voice sounds funny when you talk out of your wazoo.

We don't need no stinkin' badgers!

But I stand corrected on Radiance Red. Hah! Not as limited as one might think, eh?

The black headstock with the gold silk-screened logo gives a Rad Red axe limited status.

Oooo, don't I know!

i didn't even notice the neck plate until about 2 days after i bought it (and it was pointed out to me!). I wasn't looking to buy a Musicman (nevermind a lmt ed!), i just went shopping for a bass that would talk to me! I did rather have my heart set on a 1960's Burns Baby Bison but the one i found did nothing for me. I wasn't keen on the 2 MM's i played before but the guy in the shop handed me this sexy looking red thing (the bass..) and it was amazing (and a little outside my budget!)! I shopped around and tried a bunch of others but ended up going back for it!! :D

I have also just entered the world of the active bass....

Photo coming soon!

Badger's RULE!

Congrats on the new bass. Rad red is a lush finish!

Personally, I prefer honey badgers to regular badgers.

I don't normally like red guitars, but that rad is something else!

There' s a fretless one at local shop that just smokes- and the sparkle in that finish is just DYNOMITE!

..must see to appreciate. No pics?
