I'm really impressed with the black Limited Edition cases on these bad boys. The Tolex (or whatever it is) on the outside is almost like faux elephant skin...very rough texture and appears to be quite durable.
 
If you think it looks pretty you should here how it sounds. I played one and really like the single coil.
 
Schweet. I can see the visceral appeal.

Not a big fan of gold myself, though. Been there, done that, got seduced by the gorgeousness of Au plating. But. Doesn't wear well (fact) or stay fashionable for long (IMHO).

Somewhere on the board there's a photo of an Albert Lee 2k6 Limited, black/black/rosewood with gold. If it were available with chrome my Visa would be in danger. But it ain't, so I'm safe.
