Nope, not in a few days, he only drops in from time to time.......
Ok man, as we know, he is very busy with the new Toto record these days too....I mailed him some days ago, and he can`t wait to get the new record done he said....etc.. :D

I thought I head he was headed for Europe.....not sure where I heard that or how accurate it was, but for some reason I do believe it.

Or I don't know, it might have been a dream.

Jack,

He's got some gig in New York later this month, and then he's off to Europe.
Not like he tells me this stuff, I think I saw it on his web site or somethin'. :D

Wazzup?

Hey guys, i am here when I have the time nto check in and thanks for the good vibe!
I am mixing the new Toto record we have spent 8 months doin. I am toast. haha
Its a departure for us in a good way. Longer more thought out compositions with some very cool guests. Its not a shred fest. Funny I really dont do that on record as its all about whats right for the tune. I have my side projects to go out and musically stretch and play too much. haha
with los Toto's I dig just layin back and trying to make the songs work. I have a few moments but its funny, when I throw down all this fast "guitar head sh*t in the studio the guys in my band say "stop playing for your guitar player friends" and I end up chillin but yet live I do what the f*ck I want and consequently play full on . haha
I guess its the old "session guy" mentality as showing off is for liven gigs. hahaha
Come out and hang with me live and have a laugh. Catch phrase is "Biff" and I buy the beer after show. haha
I am a bit hungover today. I jammed with my pals in INXS last night at the House of Blues for a breast cancer benefit and then ended up at the Playboy mansion. THAT was a trip. hahaha I am married and my wife was laughing tellin me to have a good time. I of course left alone but had a great time none the less.
I hate my life.. NOT!
Have a good one

JD Fortune

Hey Luke!
I followed the Rock Star INXS with great anticipation for their new lead singer.
JD Fortune I feel, as INXS obviusly did, was the best choice. I could watch that guy all night! He's obviously very passionate! I hope the relationship lasts.
How much participation did you have have on the new album SWITCH?

Hey guys,
I had a great time this weekend. I did play with INXS and JD is a great kid and he really does throw down live as well. I was asked to play on a track by the guys but as thier schedule and mine conflicted, I am 4 weeks BEHIND on our record and they havent stopped to breath since they started this thing..well it didnt work out BUt I did jam with them and they are VERY VERY close brothers of mine. We were on tour together 2 years ago for 6 weeks and bonded for life. We have alot in common and my wife and Jonny Farriss' fiance are best friends etc..
The manision was "out there" surreal if you will. Chicks walking around with nothing but paint on, NO clothes, not a stitch. haha ,
Funny thing is the mansion looks so much bigger in photos, like goin to Graceland to see Elvis. It was still way cool!
They had live music, food and booze etc.. The only thing missing was a "Hef sighting". THAT would have been cool as he is everymans hero. I wanna be like him when I grow up..like THAT will ever happen. hahaha.
I am trying to finish mixing this f-ing record and I am off to NYC to do some promo for my re-release of my Xmas record "Santamental" on Vai's label Favored Nations and then off to play BB Kings on the 29th then off to europe on the "I'll sleep when I am dead tour". haha
I will check in when i can but its hard on the road as I only bring my little TREO to pick up mail. Its not good for checking out websites but i will try.
I still have almost 2 weeks to f*** with you guys.
Have a good one

Yo Luke!

You know it's really cool the way you check in here with your fans so often even when you are so busy!!!

You and Eddie are my biggest influences since I was 14...!

Any chance you could ask Ed to check in on on his own website or www.vhlinks.com or www.eddievanhalen.com and read the 1000s of his fans threads pleading for some info on the state of the band and whether we're likely to ever have any more VH music again....? Please......Pretty Please...... :(

Any chance of a few extra tracks on the re-release of Santa-mental?......Maybe this one is pushing the boat out..... :D

Luke...thanks for taking the time to fill us in on what you're doing. Hope all is well with you and good luck on the album and tour my friend.

Luke, glad to hear things are well, enjoy yourself, yah like I need to tell you that.

Can't wait for the Re-Release of SantaMental, it's freakin awesome and a new Christmas favorite in the Davis household. My kids love to hear it all year long.

Good luck with the album, tour and everything else. It's a pleasure to have you drop by when you can.

I'm taking the bunnies, too.

Not that I don't love you, bro, but you're just too hairy for me.

Nice to hear where you are and what you're doing, but....bunnies, every time.

Jack
