Help! Luke III low output?

Hi,

I am a happy, fairly recent, Luke III owner, but noticed that the pickups seem really low output and dark yesterday. How? I bought a SimXt, which models pickups, and any humbucker in there (ES335, 175, SG...) is a lot hotter and brighter.

Are they really that low in output?

Did you bought the Guitar new?
Is it a L3 with Transition or the new EBMM Pickups?
Have you tried to change the battery?
