... or dummy behind the guitar?

Hi all MM Luke people

I have recently bought a Luke L3 HH and I am loving it!
One thing is bothering me, which is that the output when playing in position 2 and 4 (single coil combo) is WAY louder than in the pure humbucker positions 1, 3 and 5.

I then found out that I could adjust this, but this adjustment seems to only have effect when I activate the boost-mode pressing the volume knob? And not in non-boost mode?
So when I have activated the boost all positions have more or less the same output.

Is this by design? If so it is virtually unusable to play in non-boost mode.

Hoping for a solution

You should be able to adjust that ... if you're having trouble, drop the customer service folks a line. (Info in my signature.) Let them help you out.

I would make sure that there is a fresh 9v battery. There are two trim pots in the control cavity, one for the boost, and one for the compensation in positions 2 and 4. I would lower both to the bottom to start out with.

The behavior you are describing is not how it should work usually.
