Majesty 7 keeps fading out

I'm having a strange problem with my Majesty 7. The volume keeps dropping suddenly to zero. It's not a flat cut out, but more like the volume knob is quickly being turned down. But then when I disconnect my cable and then plug it back in, it's like nothing happened. But then it will do it again in a couple minutes or even seconds. I've ruled out all of my other gear, and I've looked at the jack, but I can't see any problems with it. Does anyone have any ideas?

This might be a silly question, but have you replaced the batteries in the Majesty ?

Yes. But I haven't used the batteries much in the first place. I'm still just getting used to the guitar, and haven't used the volume boost at all, and rarely use the Piezo at the moment.

Next question (which may also be silly but very important), do you keep the cable plugged in when you're not playing the guitar??

The batteries are active from the moment you plug the guitar in. If you leave the guitar plugged in all the time you will drain the batteries. The issue you are describing is exactly what happens when the batteries stop working.

Yep.... plug the guitar in, you're using the batteries.

Definitely batteries. Had the same issue. Always unplug when you aren't playing, makes a world of difference on battery life.

Also, just a quick cautionary note as I unfortunately learned this the hard way.

Don't use rechargeable batteries in your Majesty as it can damage the complex game-changer wiring harness and switching system. Mine died because of this and I had to send it back to CA after the warranty had expired and they replaced the entire wiring harness.

Folks, According to the OP message he has swapped out the battery already which would make you think if it were the battery it would have resolved it, yet he claims it didn't. That points me more toward thinking he may have a circuit issue in the guitar's electronics.

It depends... If the problem wasn't solved by replacing the batteries, you may be right. However, if the problem was solved momentarily and he left his guitar plugged in when not using it, the new batteries could have drained, causing the problem to resurface... IIRC, the batteries on the Majesty last more or less 72 hours.
