Majesty pickup Swap (fishman fluence)

Hey guys this is my first post in this forum! I wanted to post in here because I have yet to see a pickup swap in a Majesty. I'll be getting this guitar back in the next few weeks and I am super excited to try out the fishman moderns in them. Video coming soon!

I will be experimenting with putting some DiMarzio Imperiums in one of mine shortly and I will post when I do. I contacted Dimarzio about pickups similar to the Illuminators, but with less output, and the Imperium set is what they recommended.

The Illuminators that come on the Majesty have custom PCB baseplates. The connectors are sort of like motherboard connectors for certain cables (e.g. fans), or similar to connectors I have seen on some EMG pickups, for lack of a better description. As a result, other Dimarzio pickups with matching connectors can be swapped in and out without soldering. Obviously, soldering is an option, but I took one look at the Majesty's control cavity and decided to pass!

I'm interested to see how yours comes out! Would love a video or sound comparison. The first time I looked at the components of the majesty I was very intimadated, and thought I wouldn't be able to ever swap pickups. For this job, everything was taken out and completely reworked. No more piezo, or mono/stereo option but I am okay with this because I have two majesty's and Only ever used the piezo in the studio. I also never liked that if the piezo died I lost ALL sound. Good luck with your mod as well!
