Hi, does anyone out there know why there's such a delay on The Majesty Shipments ? I ordered mine in August first they said beginning of September, then middle of September, end of September, beginning of October. Now I'm hearing end of November...

I can't speak for any dealer or EBMM but isn't there usually a 3 to 6 month wait on orders for most guitars? Ordered in August, I'd would expect a November date, at the earliest. If your dealer had not already ordered one for stock, with EBMM the guitar is made for your order. The order is added to the production queue and shipped to the dealer direct from the factory when ready. This is not an order to a big warehouse where a ready made guitar gets shipped to your store. There is no warehouse full of Majestys ready to ship.

Thanks, I understand that. I've been going by what the Dealer has been telling me. I'll just have to wait some more....

I ordered a PDN in July, and have been told an October delivery since day 1... Which echos what Kev said, FWIW.

But I feel ya... Every time the UPS truck drives by my house, I start salivating... Like a canine owned by Mr Pavlov. The wait is the best/worst part.

If the dealer misinformed you then shame on him :D
they should tell the clients that cand take up to 3-4-6-8 months whatever instead of changing it 3-4 times "Oooh it was Sept now its October no...it's..."
anyway I think Music Man as any other major company has a clear policy about expected delivery time

I ordered a PDN Neptune Blue Morse in August - was told right up front to expect delivery in November, maybe December.

I asked if there was any way to pay a "rush fee" and get it bumped up the queue, but there isn't.

Good things come to those who wait! :)

My PDN Albert Lee was ordered on June 4th and was shipped to Europe during the second week of September! Not so bad.
But shipped by boat....I have to wait again and again! It's just killing me!
I'd probably order a Majesty if patience was one of my qualities.

Besides that I love my Balls so much! ;)

Oh man! Was there an option to have it flown over the water? That would have been worth it! :)

Ordered my PDN Y2D the same day it was announced to be available with the maple board.
Current ETA is in 2 days, but it remains to be seen.
Still very much enjoying my existing balls ;)

Actually, there is no 'shame' in any part of the equation. First of all, the Majesty is an all new instrument and only MM's second neck through. There are production kinks to work out and all kinds of factors that can effect an otherwise solid eta. I can honestly say that I've placed two bulk Majesty orders. Once in January and those guitars started arriving in June and I didn't receive some until July. I ordered a second bulk Majesty order in April and I'm still waiting. To color this so black and white is in error.

hey Benji :)
what I was saying is that a dealer can mention the max amount of time for an expected delivery. isn't music man offering a time interval? as I said for ex 3-6 months 9, 12 whatever etc
when a dealer is telling you "well you will have in about 6-8 weeks" but he has no idea about the real delivery expected date, well that is misinformation , that was what I wanted to point out :)
if there is 2-3 months delay compared to what he was told in the begining...hmmm well I can understand that the client is upset

Paolo so what is the 'maximum' amount of time for an expected delivery date? Do you know? In your hypothetical example there are a lot of variables you've put in place to qualify what the dealer says is 'misinformation'. I'd doubt that's what's happening, and that's certainly not what I do. I'm told from Music Man what the expected delivery window should be and any dealer would consider it safe to pass along whatever that time frame is to the customer, but if something happens in the production line, a paint flaw for example, and the guitar has to go back through paint again (remember, these are neck-through instruments, very tedious) or the factory is waiting on parts then that will certainly impact the actual delivery date. They are not manufacturing guitars in the way some people here seem to think they do. They're hand made instruments. And with that comes the occasional variable that will effect the delivery time.
Again, I've ordered quite a few Majesty guitars and I haven't had one in a few months now. Last batch was ordered in April. Still waiting, as I'm sure other dealers are. Nothing shifty going on here though, as the OP seems to be concerned about, and I wish I had them to sell, but I don't. They are coming though and I can't wait for them to get here.

I wasn't concerned about anything shifty. The dealer sent me an email with the changing delivery times and I thought I'd ask that's all.

Hey Benji,

I see you are talking it personally and it was not my intention, I wasn't referring to any "specific" dealer :)

best regards!

Not necessarily, but I thought I'd lend some insight from the dealer point of view for anyone that maybe doesn't know the potential complexity of the situation. They're awesome guitars, people want them ASAP, and often don't take into account some factors. That's all. Just making sure the consumer end understands a little better the other side of things.
