Hey Friends

I bought this new from Long McQuade in Canada this week; it just arrived today.

On the 15/16th fret of the G string, it basically does not ring true compared to all the other frets. 15 and 16 seem to have a hard ‘choke’ off - but 15 and 16 on all the other strings seems totally fine. Is it possible there is a high fret, for just that ONE string? Is that normal?

Basically, I am wondering if this can be saved or should I just return this within the 30 days return period? That is the situation I am trying to figure out. Otherwise the build/fit and finish seem to be quite good!

I did a preliminary setup - set a bit of relief, set the action to be about 6/64 low B and about 4/64 on the high strings (G/B/E)

If you have any insights, I would love to hear them!

You can easily check for a high fret (yes, they commonly occur in various spots as opposed to the entire fret) with a straight edge, albeit a short once since it's at the 15-16th fret.
