Hello EBMM Brethren,

Just thought I would drop a note before my family and I start our journey to our new home in Nevada. Should be an interesting trip driving from Long Island, NY to southwest Vegas (3yr old son/5 month old son/Pug/French Bulldog) :) :D :o Wish us luck !!

On a side note, my band played for the final time in 16 years last night. I used my new AL and it sounds amazing. Very full and leads cut through without a problem.
MM90's are incredible:D :D

Later on folks

Safe travels.

Luke will be in Vegas with toto Sept 1.

The Cirque shows there are pretty entertaining.

I think it's about 154 degrees there now!

...no, Keith...only about 127. It's identical to Phoenix. ;)

Best of luck to you in your new location, Pug, and our thoughts and prayers for a safe trip there. :)

Pug,

I live an hour and a half from Vegas, and am originally from NJ. Lived in Reno for 14 years. You’ll probably dig it, despite the hot weather we’re having (105-108). It’s a different lifestyle from the east coast for sure. You should have no problems hookin’ up with a new band. Best to you!

FANTAStic Great to see you got there with no probs!...how did the Pets make out? :D hahahahaha

Since we're almost finished unpacking all of our crap, I am going to take a break and fill you all in on our trip.

We drove about 560 miles per day and stopped wherever we could find pet-friendly hotels. My wife found an excellent website that listed all pet friendly establishments along our route. None of them were elaborate but they served the purpose and were clean and well maintained. Every time we checked in my three year old son would say "Daddy, is this our new home because it's too tiny" :D

Pretty boring drive especially in certain states, Ohio's beer sales laws were a little ridiculous compared to NY where you can buy it almost all the time.

Colorado is breathtaking, Vail seemed like a cool place to visit so a trip is in the works for us.

Utah was pretty cool visually but very barren along our route. My son decided to open his rear door while going 70mph so we had to quickly pull over and handle the problem. Quite scary indeed

We ended up arriving in Las Vegas last thursday and it's great. The moving company tried to shaft us by adding an extra $1,200 to our bill. It's such a nasty trick, and from what I hear, a common one as well. They can basically hold your possessions for ransom because you have to pay to get your things upon delivery.

Our new place in great, both boys have thier own room and we love the architectural design in the southwest, they truly take advantage of the natural light.

My guitars made it without any problems, but I will probably give them some time to adjust to the new temps before I tweak them.

Glad to be back and talking with my EBMM family.

Hey Pug,
Glad the trip out was a good one.

Two tips.
Vegas is only a 2 1/2 hour drive North to ZION National Park in Utah and it's only another hour North to BRYCE National Park. Two very special places indeed if you enjoy the outdoors. The Desert Pearl in Springdale (just outside the Zion entrance is one of my favorite places to stay).

I think it's a $20 entrance fee for the parks.

And Steely Dan is at the Alladin in Vegas on july 22.

Good luck there.

PS There's a Guitar Center on Tropicana about 3 miles east of the strip.
