Hi!

This is my first post here, but I've been lurking in the forums for a while.
I was a Gibson player for a long time, but when I picked up a Bongo 5 string bass last year, I swore my next guitar would be a Music Man.

When the time came around to replace my guitar, funds were short, and I didn't think I could get one. Then I found out the SUB 1 is american made, so I grabbed one at the nearest independent music shop. While it doesn't feel as 'sleek' as the Bongo (which I had to get rid of unfortunately <sigh>) it plays as well, if not better than any guitar I've owned.

Thank you Big Poppa for making instruments that uphold such a high standard AND for making some more affordable models for those of us who are going through tough times. I tell every guitarist and bass player I meet about the quality of Music Man, and I hope to see more people using your instruments as the years go by!

I too am a convert. I have played Ibanez for the past 5, 6 years. I bought a JP6 with piezo off eBay, after having test drove one in a GC. Dream Theater is my favorite band so it seemed like a good idea. Best equipment selection ever. I love this guitar. I can't believe how well it plays.

This guitar screams quality, and it is an incredible value. Thank you John Petrucci and Ernieball!

Steve, welcome glad to have you here. Let's see some pictures of that Sub 1, please!!! :D

Welcome Aboard, Gentlemen!

Hey Zaa, good coice on EBMM models, the Pet is the best palying/feeling guitar I have ever owned.

Let's see some pics boys.

Koogie got it right - it is an addiction (but a great one!). I too was a G*bs*n player, and occasional F*nd*r player, but a need for a Floyd to cover certain material for the band caused me to hunt out a Musicman Axis, and now that is ALL I play! Just grabbed my third Axis (you gotta have a backup to the backup to the main axe, right????) and I love 'em all!

Welcome to the Forum - you'll learn lots of great information, and spend hours of quality time reading posts by others like you, and adding to the mix yourself!

Welcome... and... good luck.... EBMM gitars are like lays potato chips (or sunchips for me) you can't have just one.
