What kind of fret wire do they use at the factory? Dunlop? Jescar? Eventually I'll need to get my '01 Silhouette Special refretted and want to use the exact original stuff.

Send it back to the factory, they will refret it for you.

Will they put in what ever you want size and material wise? Or keep it original spec?

I believe the factory will only return it to factory spec.

Yep! And their rates are really reasonable. I'm in Canada too and have shipped a few guitars down south for work- it's well worth it.

I sent a guitar to them for a refret, once they got it in hand they were able to just dress them and it came out GREAT.

so, maybe you don't actually need a refret. They'll let you know for sure!
