JP 15 piezo string imbalance.
I just purchased a Music Man jp15
And I’m having a slight issue with the piezo.
The G sting is substantially louder than the rest. It is a brand new BFR rosewood model. I have not changed strings, they are what came on the guitar.
Any ideas?
Hopefully it’s something simple.
Thanks

I would suggest a new set of strings first. If there is still an issue contact EBMM customer service.

My JP6 20th anniversary had the exact same issue (among others). The G string piezo was crazy loud compared to the others. Since the guitar was brand new and had other issues Sweetwater replaced it.

Hi there, just curious what you ended up doing? Did you ever get it resolved?

Hi, I also had the same issue on my JP15 rosewood.
I checked the piezo system by touching it with a screw driver.
They are metal bar shapes and are located under the strings on the bridge.
I checked both sides of the string.
If it is alive, you can hear the touching sound from the amplifier, but it it has a problem, so, it did not make a sound.

In my case, the piezos for 1st, 2nd and 6th had issues and it only responded to half of the sensor for each string.

My dealer sent it to the distributer company and they replaced the whole unit.
