I have a Sterling 4 string bass. I bought it in 1999, trying to find out what it is worth without having to get a low balled price at the music store.
Any suggestions guys?

You could check Talbass Classifieds and Craigslist but what you'll find is the current going rate not the actual value.

That's all I got.

Unless you are strapped for cash....My suggestion is..Keep it ! or you will regret it sooner or later, Ive bought and sold various Fenders and others, But there is something very special about a Music Man...can´t quite put my finger on it (no pun intended)....;)

Keep in mind you are going to get less from a music store than you will selling it yourself privately; they need to add some profit and still be reasonably close to what the private used market it for them.

If you are looking to sell you may want to post it on the for sale section here.
