Back to her original luster :D ...

...back about a year ago I had to make this bass a fretted instrument because, at the time, I needed two fretted SR5's for a VH tribute that I was playing with here in the SF bay area.

this is a pic of her (with me) as a fretted bitch:

I very recently put her original neck back on her ( if you look very closely you can see her smiling during the operation ) :

AIN'T SHE A BEAUT???

... and so, she is back and I will be stroking her this evening @ my RaiderHed gig @ Ricky's in San Leandro tonite (shameless plug, sorry) ;)

Very nice, that's my favorite MM finish of all time! Does anyone know why that color option was discontinued. I can't believe it didn't sell (eveyone seems to really like it), was it hard to apply or something?

Any discontinued colors were not selling well enough to keep shooting.

Some of my faves are gone, too - and it's sad, but Forum Ideas On Finishes and What Is Really Popular are probably wrong. And I include me in that group.

Sparkles? Loved 'em. Green basses? Loved 'em.

But on a global scale, no one else loved 'em.

Believe me, they won't stop making anything that sells like hotcakes.

Hey, you aren't selling those, are you?

(PS: Weigh that white thing on Monday. I think I got an itch that must be scratched! Do I need to email you at work? I love you, man. *sniffling*)

A fretted 4 string in that colour was the bass that got me into MM's in the first place around 14 years ago.

She is, indeed, a beaut.

Was about to ask "whats the great big hole at the end of the headstock?" then I remembered it was a five string :o

Thanks for all the nice compliments on this true beauty!

she plays like butta, so the hotcakes comment is spot on for this thread :)

mmmmm butter, hotcakes and grade A maple syrup mmmmm!!! I just had lunch and I'm freeekin hungry again. thanks guys!

I am wondering who's initials are in the neck socket as well as the back of the neck itself??? And why was the neck made almost a year earlier???

So many questions un-answered!!!
any ideas???
anyone?

man I was just revisting this thread because shes about ot have a 17th birthday here on the 30th. Damn I'm a lucky mofo!

I am still wondering on these questions... anyone in CS chime in here please???

The white pick up and guard combination has always made that model. If you like the color blue burst you can still get it... but you'd have to buy a Steve Morse

Hey Jimmie ~ just read through a bit of your original post about you having been in a VH tribute band...'Hot For Teacher'?
