HO....LEE....CRAP-O-LINSKI!!!!!!

I'm the lucky guy that bought Don Mullen's Luke BFR and it's in my hands!!!
Anyway... I'm IN LOVE!!!!!!

It plays itself practically!! I'm pretty sure the strings are 9's. I think I'm going to put 10's on it. The action is super low. Almost too low on the low side. It's kind of buzzy, but it doesn't come thru the amp really.

The color of it is darker than I thought, which is great. I love love love it. I bet it comes alive when lights hit it. The sound of the guitar is more stratty than I thought it would be, but has hints of Les Paul in it too. And what's really cool about it, is if you roll the tone knob off a little, it fattens up in a good way. I can't believe all the sounds you can get out of it!!

The body is a little smaller than I thought, which is GREAT cuz I was worried it would be too weird looking. To be honest, the Luke looks much much better in person as it does in pix. I'm talking about ANY luke, not just a BFR.

And this neck?? OMG I love it!!

The trem is SUPER slinky. Almost too slinky. I put another spring in it, but then It made it too stiff. I'm not sure how to get somewhere in between. Maybe it makes a diff where you put the springs? I had one on the L, Middle, and R. So, if it's going to feel like that with three, I'll just leave two on it and get used to it being so sensitive.

But I just can't believe how awesome this thing is. The case, etc. Everything is off the hook!!!

Thanks to Don Mullen for being such a great guy to deal with!

I'll be taking pix this weekend, but you guys have already seen it.

Btw.. Luke signed the back of the headstock at the Desert Bash, and when he saw the guitar, he was VERY impressed with it's beauty. The guys at the factory said they remembered it coming off the line because the top was so amazing!

And guess what... my 2007LE ASS w/ MM90's SHOULD be here today! If not, it'll be Monday. But I hope it's today!

Jason,
Enjoy that one, it's a killer. I saw it at the bash. Pete had it shipped to the hotel, we all wanted to open the box before Don got there.

Tough choice that had to be made but it helps that it went to a forumite that really appreciates it. Enjoy it man, great axe.
