After playing it last week I've come to realize.....I loves me Bongos. Playing a Sterling after a few months of constant Bongo playing made me realize....I just don't care to play it anymore. I felt like a fish out of water playing the Sterling. This week I resumed playing the Bongo....and I was happy as a lark to have one in hand....the sound, the feel, etc. I even got a complement from a guy who owns an SR5 who was thinking of test driving a Bongo 5.....my Bongo was the first he had seen in person.
Soooooo.....I will probably be unloading it in the near future.....I have it up here for the forumites first before it goes to TB and then eventually Evilbay. I'd really rather trade it for a Bongo 4...H/H or SC/H in any color but black, white, or rolls burgandy...and preferrably with a case. I don't know exactly how much I should sell it outright for....any suggestions would help. It is in like new condition....the previous owner never used it outside her house & just last week I removed the original film over the p/g.

the color is deffinatly original looking.

I think you could probably get away with asking 950ish with a little room to squiggle.... I think.

personally I'd keep it, then again I'm like that :)

I just can't justify having a $1000 bas just lying around in the case knowing I really don't want to play it.

awe man! i really love that ugly finish ... no joke. its sweet!

if it wasnt for all these new crazy basses with 2 PUPs I'd probably have to snag that off ya.

good luck!
Well.....I'm personally in no hurry to sell it BUT it would be nice to have the cash on hand in case a good Bongo deal comes up.
The bass is a looker for sure & many people complimented me on the finish....hopefully it will be a good selling point.

That is right up there with the F*nder "Antigua" finish. Kind of like baby poop but oddly appealing.

I have sold at least 30 guitars in my life and never regreted selling a single one. Taste change.... you are now more interested in Bongos so cut this one loose.

Well said.
Only guitar I'll never sell is my first.....an early 70's Gibson Grabber ala Gene Simmons.

I will never sell my first either. It is a Hondo Longhorn (low end guitar of course). I don't want to sell the guitar I gigged with during my 20's either. It is a late 70's Epi Scroll. It was my stage guitar all those years and has a wonderful tone. It has a lot of emotional value.
