My Old Bass On Ebay..........

Who carved into a '77 body ?? Looks very incongruous with all those fittings on the back to see body "comfort" cutaways front and back. Shouldn't a '77 be a slab body?

The story goes on this one that it was an 'artist' bass with body contours. I don't think there's any way to know for sure, but it does make it a little more comfortable.

In some old threads, the weight was stated as being much heavier than it turned out to be on my scale(s). It's still not a lightweight, but 11.5 lbs is a lot better than the 15 lbs. or so that was previously suggested. I'm selling in order to convert some older basses into newer basses :)

I recently won a '77 neck from Bob at the Bass Palace that I was going to match up with this bass, but it turned out to have a serious backbow.

I've never really weighed my SR5 but i'd say it's between 10 and 11. My SR4 is probably between 9 and 10.

Somehow or another, i've had no back problems with these basses.

I guess I drink too much milk.

Artist bass is what I was told it probably was by EB Customer service as Gold(special order back then) was also the original color. The contours and the refin were done very nicely.A great bass for someone looking for a Pre-EB at a reasonable price.Good luck Todd:)
