HI,

It's been about 3 weeks so far that my wife says I can get a new guitar if I whip my body into "Bonjovi" shape.(that sounds so gay). I'm doing well. Weights every other day and treadmill or bike in between. Belly went from 39" down to 371/2".

I have my heart set on a Silhouette, since I had one before and the neck was perfect. I'm going to consider other models after I get to try the necks. Today I was psyched. I took the wife and kids out today and we were going by a Guitar Center. When I was ther last year, they had a bunch of EBMMs. I wanted to try some out, especially a JP neck.

They only had one in stock. It was a hardtail Rosewood Axis. I had an EVH before and this one had a neck that felt way fatter. I'm sure I just wasn't used to it. The neck felt great. Feels like the neck of a mahog guitar that I stripped and oiled.

Before I had my mind set on a Sil, the new Satriani candy apple red model was my dream guitar. I'm totally into Satch and when I saw him in concert with the JS1200, I was blown away. I like the Satch neck profile. I asked the sales guy if they had any Satch models. All they had was the cheaper JS100 that I passed on trying it out. As I was walking out, I see a guy playing a JS1200 into an amp. I walked over and said "Is that a 1200, they said they didn' have any in stock". He tells me it's his personal guitar and let's me try it. Since we talk EBMM here, I'll keep it short. That guitar is NICE.

I'm still shooting for a Sil since I want to get it new and it's more in my budget.

Later, I'll talk about having extreme ADHD(heavy on the hyper)/OCD and the love/hate relationship of waiting for a guitar.

Tim,

The Satch model's neck is totally different than the standard IBZ neck. It's only 1 5/8" at the nut, has a smaller radius, and is a little fatter. It's described as more of a Fend** feel

The Satch 1200 is a nice guitar and the body is quite comfortable. I just love the Silo sound and neck alot better. I saw a 1200 in the gray color that they offer and that was part of the inspration for my thinking I would like a silo in graphite pearl moonstone.
