I'have never tried to adjust the neck of my bass. In the past, when it was necessary, i brought it to my usual shop. I'd like to get finer adjustment on my Bongo (I'd like to avoid some buzzing on the first frets but still keeping a low action).

Can anybody give me the main infos about how to adjust the neck of a bass : wich way should i turn the trussrod and what will the result be ? Is it complicated or is there a risk of damaging the neck ? How do you mix trussrod adjustment with bridge adjustment to avoid buzzing ?

Thanks alot for your answers !
