Need a bit of advice

Having player a 4 stringer for the past 3 years, im now seriously comtemplating buying a five. However im skint after my recent sub4 purchase. Long term Id like a 5-string bongo to be used full-time, however im thinking of buying an OLP to tide me over? Are they any good? it's mainly to learn on. I don't wana buy a bongo and find I hate the 5th string, i've played a 5er in a few shops but not reallt tested them. How much harder is it? Is it worth just saving for a Bongo in the knowledge that I will like a 5-string?

The spec says they only have two volumes and a tone?yet they have one pickup, i take thats so that you can double up to create a musicman sound is it? Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Get a 5 string with a thin neck, it's easy to play a 5 string bass.

After 20+ years of playing 4 strings, our church did a "bridge event" that required 5 string. So I bought my first fiver and woodshedded for hours a day for a couple of weeks. Now it is confusing for me to go back to a 4 string.

If you are willing to spend some time woodshedding, then by all means a fiver will greatly improve your options.

And my Bongo 5 is the best instrument I've played in my 25+ years of bass.
