By the way, if you're in the USA, there's a law that you cannot own any more than 29 EBMM's at one time. The law further stipulates that in the case you DO purchase a 30th, it has to go to an EBMM forum member with only 44 posts.

Congratulations on #30. That is really an amazing investment, and testimony to your love of these high quality instruments.

Perhaps you've been asked these questions before (you can point me to the thread if that's the case), but I am curious as to:

1) how many of the guitars you actually play - do you have a few favourites, with most of the collection really being kept as investments?

2) how much time do you spend on upkeep (string changes, truss rod tweaking, etc), or are you not into that sort of thing ? It would drive me crazy, because I'd want everyone of them to be set up "just right"...

3) not to pry or anything, but do you have a home studio or somewhere similar where you store them all, or do you them in various areas of your house - Ok, so I work in insurance and couldn't help asking!

Thanks for answering (if you have the time and inclination), and congrats on what must obviously be the largest privately owned collection of Pets in the world !

I have them insured through a rider on my home owner's insurance. I have to frequentyly update it, which is a pain. I mostly keep them in their cases in closets in my house. A few are out on stands. I would say that I have 5 "players." One seven, a six in standard tuning, one in dropped-D, one in D and one in C. I really don't find it hard to upkeep the ones I use. String changes are a snap and set up is easy with the truss wheel being exposed for a quick tweek or two.

Is the majority of your collection JP6's? What's the ratio of JP7's to JP6's just curious.
